Belarus’ gold and foreign currency reserves at $9.4bn as of March 1st

According to preliminary data, Belarus’ international reserve assets amounted to $9.4072bn in equivalent as of March 1st, 2025, sb.by reports citing the National Bank’s website



In February 2025, gold and foreign currency reserves grew by $74m after rising by $410.6m in January.


The largest share in the structure of Belarus’ international reserve assets is held by assets in foreign currency and monetary gold. According to the National Bank of Belarus, as of March 1st, 2025, the volume of foreign currency in reserves stood at $3.1485bn (an increase of $35.4m in February), that of monetary gold made up $4.9057bn (a growth of $37.6m).


According to major guidelines of the country’s monetary policy, Belarus’ international reserve assets should total at least $7.1bn by the end of 2025.
