more unlimited annual flight passes
after the first 10,000 sold out in 48 hours.
The company said it was considering whether the launch more of the passes, which allow passengers to take unlimited flights for a flat fee. It’s already started a war of words between carriers.
Michael O’Leary, the chief executive of rival carrier Ryanair, said Wizz’s offer was a “marketing scam” and noted the caveat with the pass where users can only book flights three days before departure, means there won’t be any seats available.
Wizz Chief Corporate and ESG Officer Yvonne Moynihan responded that O’Leary’s comments were “not only provocative but they were also inaccurate.”
