The technology enabled the expansion of Euro 2024 coverage into the Chinese marketplace

Disguise has announced its virtual production solutions have been deployed to help extend coverage of UEFA’s Euro 2024 championships.

Beijing-based digital entertainment company, Hologram Jasmine, used the Disguise platform for CCTV’s Football Connections series, which provided coverage of the tournament between June and July. A VX 4 media server and RX II render engine enabled the Hologram Jasmine team to render 4K scenes. Two additional VX 4s and RX IIs were used as backup for the process.

Commenting on the collaboration, Zeng Xiao, project producer at Hologram Jasmine, said, “We are very familiar with Disguise from offline events and multimedia installations to virtual production, augmented reality and extended reality. Many members of our team have been certified through Disguise’s online courses, including those in the creative department. For national and other large-scale events, excellent stability and reliable technical support are always top priorities. Disguise provides a richness of cases and industry standards that allow us to connect teams from different project phases.  In addition, Disguise has a very detailed user manual and a highly active community ecosystem.”
