England will close out a landmark year in Southampton on Tuesday, December 2 (7pm kick-off), with the friendly against the African nation marking the final stop on a four-match celebration tour before World Cup qualifying begins in February.

The visit to St Mary’s will be the Lionesses’ first outing on the south coast since a 5-0 win over Northern Ireland in EURO 2022. Head coach Sarina Wiegman said the squad is relishing the chance to play in front of fans across the country once again.

“We love taking the team around the country, so to also play Australia in Derby and Ghana in Southampton as well as the China PR fixture at Wembley gives us a lovely way to say ‘thank you’ for the incredible support we have had this year and before,” she said.

Ticket information will be confirmed in due course before the fixture, but supporters can register their interest for hospitality tickets here.

The series begins with a clash against South American champions Brazil at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, October 25 (5.30pm). Three days later, England will take on 2023 World Cup semi-final opponents Australia at Pride Park, Derby (Tuesday, October 28, 7pm).

A return to Wembley follows on Saturday, November 29, where more than 60,000 tickets have already been sold for the meeting with Asian champions China PR. The finale then comes on the south coast against Ghana, offering supporters the chance to see the European champions up close.

Reflecting on the line-up, Wiegman added: “It is great that we can return to action after our incredible summer with four exciting fixtures at home.

“Each opponent will challenge us in different ways, which is exactly what we need with World Cup qualification beginning early next year.

“It’s very nice to begin against Brazil and it is also special for us to be able to play again for our fans in Manchester for the first time since EURO 2022. We know from the Finalissima in 2023 that they will be very tough opponents.”
